Welcome to Vermonti Health
Hi, my name is Kate. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and
Psychotherapy.
I started my training in 2020, completing a level two certificate in counselling at City of
Bristol College. I went on to complete a Foundation Degree in Counselling with Plymouth
University. As part of my training I worked with two Bristol based organisations, seeing
clients face to face, and online.
I have broad experience working with clients experiencing a range of issues including
anxiety and depression, trauma, grief and loss and palliative care.
For the past two years I have counselled clients through a Bristol based hospice – supporting
people who have been or are anticipating bereavement and those who have been
diagnosed with a terminal illness. I find it incredibly challenging but rewarding work.
For many years I volunteered with the Samaritans, supporting people in crisis who may be
considering ending their lives.
I am an integrative counsellor, which means that I am trained in a number of therapeutic
approaches. Central to my work is a person-centred approach, with a focus on what is
concerning you.
I provide a space where you can talk and be listened to as you explore your thoughts and
fears. I can give you the chance to express how you feel and say the things you feel unable
to say to friends and family without feeling judged.
I first experienced counselling when I was having to navigate my way through a complex and
traumatic time of my life. I know from this personal experience just how important it is to
be able to honestly express and explore your experience and feelings.
