Play Therapy with Natalina

Natalina, is a qualified Play Therapist, who joined my practice in March 2023. She is registered with PTUK (https://playtherapy.org.uk/) and is able to work with children up to the age of 12. 

She has over 15 years of experience in working with children and families in youth work, schools and children hospice settings. She is highly experienced in bereavement and trauma and I have worked with her professionally for 6 years and therefore feel 100% confident in recommending her and welcoming her into my practice. 

In terms of how referrals and her role in my practice will work:

• Referrals will come to us in the usual way, but you may wish to specify if you are specifically wanting a play therapist or are open to us discussing the referral and working out who would be best for this client. 
• Invoicing will continue to be through Stefano Vermonti - Psychotherapist in Private Practice as she will be working for me and will be paid through my practice. 
• She will provide the necessary documents to your organisation/charity for you to check her credentials - i.e. DBS, Insurance, Qualifications, PTUK Registration.
• Between March 2023 and June 2023, she will only be working on Fridays and this will be at our practice. After June 2023, she will increase her days to a couple of afternoons during the week.
  

A message from Natalina:

“I have a deep passion in helping children to discover things that are perhaps stopping them from moving forward in the areas of their life. Walking alongside children on this journey is a privilege. As a therapist, I hope to guide children as they process their internal feelings and start recognising their own needs. I will seek to help them to implement tools in which to help them to move forward. 

Creating a safe and secure environment is paramount, enabling children the freedom to explore at their own pace is so important. My primary aim is to first build upon a trusting therapeutic relationship. It is through this foundation, I believe, that will path the way to the child growing emotionally. I will seek to build their confidence, helping them to believe in who they are and knowing that they have the tools in which to help themselves.

I am so excited to be joining Stefano. I have over 15 years of experience in working with vulnerable children and their families. I recognise the importance of teamwork and value the vital role in which the caregiver plays. I hope that through this intervention we can come together in seeing these children grow and develop.
