Please note that I have limited capacity to take on new clients - please enquire
Earlier this year I started using an admin assistant to manage the admin side of my practice, so that I could focus on seeing my clients and not having to spend my free time on admin. This has worked so well that I have developed a small practice management business; we are able to take on new practices that either want to move their admin systems online or who are looking for regular admin support.
A few people have commented on the confidentiality aspect. To put you at ease, your assigned admin assistant is trained in confidentiality and would sign a confidentiality agreement. They would also only have access to information you give them access to; this is why we have chosen to use "google workspace" as you can give permission to whoever you want on whichever documents you want; we also use face ID and password protected systems. The practice is also registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office). The admin assistant would not need to see your notes unless this was required because you wanted them to edit a report or medical letter.
The current admin assistants have been working in medical and veterinary settings for many years and therefore have experience in the importance of confidentiality.
This is not dis-similar to medical secretaries in GP or health practices. We have also recommended to the other therapists we manage that they inform their clients that they have an admin assistant and add this to their documents that they share with their clients so that they know they may receive (for example) an email from your designated admin assistant.
Please find attached a document outlining what we are able to offer; please share with anyone in your networks. We work virtually so you are welcome to share with anyone outside of the Bristol area.
